Implementation Checklist
When starting with ShipperXL we know there is a lot to consider. Here is a checklist of items that need consideration:
Buy Hardware and Supplies. This is printers, labels, scanners, kiosks, etc.
If you are setting up a ShipperXL Kiosk, email support@hurkin.com for advice about camera & scale integration.
Read the New Database article for information about what to configure to get started.
Set up User Acccounts and roles. Give more access in the beginning and restrict & refine as it becomes necessary.
Install ShipperXL Desktop and ShipperXL Mobile for users.
Set up Email Receiver, outbound email, QuickBooks, etc.
Email support@hurkin.com to make a training plan. We suggest 1-2 times per week for up to a month. There are four key sessions:
Introduction, Purchasing, Shipments, and Sales
Inbound Cargo, Inventory, Scale Operations
Work Orders, Processing, and Outbound Cargo
Documentation, Invoicing, Miscellaneous

Decide on a cut-over plan from existing processes & systems:
Choose a date to copy existing inventory into ShipperXL. For example, Jan 31 23:59. Everything Feb 1 and later would be in ShipperXL.
Work side-by-side with both systems for a short period, probably a month or two.
Complete a month-end inventory cycle.
Turn off systems and processes no longer used.
